Alternative to Wedbox: an honest comparison

Wedbox collects wedding photos primarily through an app for iPhone and Android — with a photo booth mode, comments, and photographer uploads. The app itself is free; you pay for original-quality downloads and longer hosting.

TheBigDayPage takes the other route: everything in the browser, nothing to install, one-time payment, and a gallery that stays up to ten years. Which approach fits depends on your guests — and on how long the photos should live.

When to choose which?

Choose Wedbox if you want the app experience: an iPad photo booth mode at the reception, comments under the pictures, and a free start with no paywall. If you plan to download the photos shortly after the celebration anyway and don’t need a long-term online album, the download packages work well.

Choose TheBigDayPage if your guests shouldn’t have to install anything — from your great-uncle to your colleague, everyone uploads in the browser, no app, no account. And if the gallery should last: pay once, stay online for up to ten years, GDPR-compliant on EU servers, instead of monthly hosting or a two-month window.

To be fair: both collect photos and videos from guests reliably, both let the photographer upload too, and with both the pictures stay private. The core difference is the model — a free app plus paid downloads and hosting at Wedbox, a one-time payment with a long runtime at TheBigDayPage.
